Cairo: A British woman has been arrested in Kuwait, accused of committing religious sacrilege for displaying a Quranic verse in the shape of a tattoo, a local newspaper reported.
The woman, who resides in Kuwait, was seen displaying the offensive tattoo on her leg by a Kuwaiti citizen at a private hospital who reported it to police, Al Rai added.
She was arrested and taken to a police station where a case of violating sanctity of religion has been registered against her, it said.
