Dubai: The father of one of the Kuwaiti juveniles who appeared in a video clip beating an Egyptian worker in a store selling toys in Fahaheel about a week ago has rendered an apology to the worker, Al Anba newspaper reported yesterday.
A security source said as soon as the clip about the assault was posted on social media, the victim was summoned and was asked to file a case, but he refused. However, the source indicated instructions were given to the e-crimes branch to bring in the person who photographed the incident and refer him to the judiciary for misuse of the phone.
In the meantime, the Egyptian Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs confirmed that the video of the assault was tampered with and does not include all the details of the incident. The ministry added the two youngsters who attacked the Egyptian were arrested and interrogated at a police station.
