Thousands to rally in London for end to Gaza attacks

London: Thousands of people are expected to join a demonstration in London's Trafalgar Square on Saturday to protest attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Other rallies are planned on Saturday in cities including Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, organisers said.

Participants include activist Bianca Jagger and former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox.

They have called on US President-elect Barack Obama to condemn the Israeli attacks.
