Liu Xia, widow of Chinese Nobel laureate, arrives in Berlin

Berlin: Liu Xia, the widow of dissident Chinese Nobel laureate Liu Xiaobo who had been under de facto house arrest in China, arrived in Germany Tuesday, an AFP photographer saw.

The 57-year-old poet, who had left Beijing earlier in the day, arrived in Berlin on a Finnair flight from Helsinki, three days before the first anniversary of her husband's death from liver cancer.
