Lahore: Violent clashes have broken out between police and lawyers protesting against the rule of President Pervez Musharraf.
Demonstrators threw bricks and glasses at police who had blocked the way as the group tried march from one court complex to another in the city of Lahore.
Eyewitnesses say the police used batons to beat some of the demonstrators who had been chanting anti-Musharraf slogans.
Police official Zahid Abbas said that four lawyers and three policemen were hurt in the clashes.
