Retired Pakistan army officer goes missing in Nepal

Embassy following up matter with relevant authorities

Islamabad: A former Pakistani army officer, Lt Col Mohammad Habib Zahir, has gone missing in Nepal, the Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed on Saturday.

The retired officer has been reported missing since April 6 from the Rupandehi district in Nepal, said spokesperson Nafees Zakaria.

The spokesperson added that the matter has been taken up with the Nepalese government and that the Pakistani embassy in Nepal is in contact with the relevant authorities.
