Islamabad: Two Pakistani soldiers were killed and two wounded in clashes along the Kashmir border, the Pakistani military said on Thursday.
A Pakistani military spokesman said the casualties occurred in a clash with "unknown miscreants" on the border with India, in what is the most serious incident in a long while.
However, the clashes along the so-called Line of Control (LoC) did not involve Indian forces, the spokesman added.
“The fire was not from the Indian bunkers," the Pakistani military spokesman said.
A Pakistani patrol clashed with a group of people in woods in the Hajira area of southern Kashmir.
