Dubai: UAE-based Indian teenage swimmer Vissesh Parameswar Sharma is dreaming of winning medals for his country after shattering a 25-year-old record at last week’s 55th Milo/Param Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships 2019 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 13-year-old Indian High School student, who trains six times a week with Prime Star Sports Academy won three gold medals — 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 200m backstroke — in the bargain setting two meet records in the Malaysian capital. “He’s very passionate about his swimming and the big dream for him is to represent India and win medals,” his father Parameswar Sharma told Gulf News.
