New Delhi: Two more bodies were found under the debris of a three-storey hotel that collapsed in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad, raising the death toll in the tragedy to 10, police said on Monday.

Firefighters and civic personnel were clearing debris at the scene in the crowded Kalupur area in Ahmedabad.

The hotel had capacity for about 120 guests and was fully occupied when it collapsed. The cause of the collapse was not clear, but could be due to structural defects combined with ongoing renovation work.
