New Delhi: A Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to hear a petition seeking to restrain the Allahabad High Court from pronouncing its verdict on September 24, in a title suit related to the Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid disputed structure at Ayodhya.

Justice Altamas Kabir and Justice A.K. Patnaik agreed that the court had no jurisdiction to hear matters arising out of civil suits.

Now the matter is likely to be posted before another bench. It’s thought it may come up for hearing on Thursday.
