Dubai: Kerala businessman Boby Chemmannur on Thursday collapsed in court after the judge remanded him to 14 days in custody in the Honey Rose sexual harassment case.

The incident occurred after his bail plea in the case filed against actress Honey Rose's complaint was rejected.

After the judge read the verdict, Chemmanur sat on the bench and collapsed. He was then moved to Ernakulam General Hospital for medical tests.

Chemmanur was taken into custody from his estate in Wayanad, Kerala, following Honey Rose's sexual harassment complaint claiming he made obscene gestures and suggestive remarks towards her at a public function. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been assigned to conduct a thorough investigation into the case.

The actress also accused him of online harassment. Chemmanur, known for his eccentric public persona, has categorically denied the allegations, claiming he had no “ill intentions.”
