New Delhi: Five Indian sailors of a freed hijacked ship have returned to India, officials said on Monday.

The five were among 22 crew members of MV Stolt Valor hijacked by Somali pirates for two months. The ship was recently released after a ransom of $2.5 million was paid.

The sailors were greeted by relatives at the Mumbai international airport where they arrived from Muscat, Oman.

The sailors said they were relieved at the "homecoming" after spending "two months at gunpoint."

The remaining crew members, including the captain of the ship, were to arrive later on Monday.
