Brussels: The European Commission said Monday it will provide 10 million euros in emergency food aid to North Korea to help 650,000 people at risk of dying from serious malnutrition.
The food will be delivered under a strict monitoring system in the northern and eastern provinces of the country to reach children under five suffering from severe acute malnutrition, pregnant and breastfeeding women, hospital patients and the elderly, the commission said in a statement.
