China demolishes yet-to-open sex theme park

Beijing: A sex theme park that featured explicit exhibits of genitalia and sexual culture has been demolished before it opened.

A government spokesman in southwestern China said on Monday the "Love Land" park was demolished over the weekend in Chongqing city.

photographs of the adult-only park was wildly circulated on the internet over the weekend, prompting widespread mockery and condemnation.

Exhibits had included giant-sized reproductions of male and female anatomy as well as dissertations on how the topic of sex is treated in various cultures.
