Tokyo: 75-year-old Japanese adventurer Yuichiro Miura has set out on his quest to become the oldest man to climb Mount Everest – again.
Miura is on his way to Nepal where he will acclimatize before heading to Tibet's regional capital of Lhasa. He will climb the world's highest mountain from the Chinese side.
It's not the first time Miura has conquered Everest. In 2003, he became the oldest man to reach the top, aged 70, but older men have climbed the peak since then.
Katsusuke Yanagisawa holds the record at 71 years old, set in 2007.
