Six dead in Missouri City Hall shooting

Kirkwood: A gunman shot dead five people at City Hall in the St. Louis suburb of Kirkwood on Thursday night, according to media reports.

The shooter reportedly killed a police officer outside City Hall and then entered the building and shot and killed another officer.

"He shot three other people who were attending the council meeting. They also are deceased," the St. Louis Post-Dispatch quoted officer Tracy Panus as saying.

Police later said they killed the gunman.
