Lagos: Nigeria's President Umaru Yar'Adua returned home on Saturday after more than two weeks of medical treatment in Saudi Arabia, a presidential aide said.
"I can confirm that he has come back," the aide said.
Yar'Adua, who is known to have a chronic kidney problem, travelled to Saudi Arabia in August to receive medical care.
Some Nigerian newspapers have reported that the Nigerian president had undergone a renal transplant in Jeddah.
Many voices, including opposition politicians, have expressed concern over Yar'Adua's health and the government's handling of the issue.
