Lagos: At least 30 people were killed on Saturday after a fuel tanker exploded in Nigeria's Port Harcourt, police said.
It was not immediately clear what ignited the cargo in the truck as it travelled on a road along the outskirts of Port Harcourt.
Rivers State police spokeswoman, Ireju Barasua, said up to three dozen people are feared killed in the blaze.
Police were investigating first reports of the fire and had no firm casualty toll, she cautioned.
