Dubai: The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai has allocated 40 plots of land across 22 areas for the construction of new mosques during the first half of 2025.
The plan includes 22 large mosques and 18 smaller ones for regular prayer times, reflecting the emirate’s continued urban and population growth.
In parallel, the department has opened 19 new mosques in 19 different locations, with a total construction cost exceeding Dh150 million.
These new facilities collectively accommodate 15,850 worshippers, supporting the city’s growing demand for accessible religious spaces and enhancing community well-being through expanded worship infrastructure.
