World bus tour opens to increase awareness

Dubai: The world diabetes bus tour, which provides free tests for diabetes, distributes awareness brochures and information has opened in Festival City.

Dr Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Health, opened the tour in the presence of Princess Benedict, sister of Queen of Denmark.

Princess Benedict is Patron of the World Diabetes Foundation. Princess Benedict is currently in UAE as part of a visit to activate the diabetes prevention programme and enhance international cooperation in this field.
