Worker critical after falling into sewerage hole in Khor Fakkan

Khor Fakkan: A 42-year-old Bangladeshi worker is fighting for his life in the ICU of Khor Fakkan Hospital after falling into a sewerage hole on Tuesday night.

A police officer said the police operations room received a call reporting the incident at 7.55pm. Police and Civil Defence teams from Khor Fakkan and Fujairah were dispatched to the scene and they found the worker in a deep sewerage hole into which he fell while connecting telephone cables on the first floor of a building under construction.

The rescue team managed to pull out the worker who was taken to Khor Fakkan Hospital where he was admitted in the ICU in a critical condition.

The case has been referred to authorities concerned to complete the remaining procedures.
