Women play crucial role in progress

Sharjah: The Emirati woman has always played a significant role in the development of the country and achieved remarkable successes in various fields, said Shaikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Shaikha Jawaher, who is the Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, said: "The UAE is working on preparing a generation of women to participate with their male counterparts in charting the future of the nation."

On malicious campaigns against the UAE and women, Shaikha Jawaher said: "Such campaigns will not stop us from pressing ahead with our development plans targeting human resources, both males and females, in the private and public sectors."

She said that continuous work and systematic development and modernisation is the best answer to these malicious campaigns.
