Dubai: The UAE is set for a few days of varied and potentially unstable weather conditions, starting tomorrow, Thursday, November 20, and lasting until Sunday, November 23. According to NCM's latest weather report, residents should anticipate early morning dense fog, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, along with blowing dust and a gradual decrease in temperatures across the country.
Motorists are strongly urged to exercise extreme caution due to expected low visibility. Dense fog is forecasted to form at dawn tomorrow, Thursday, in several areas of the country, especially along external highways. This misty and foggy pattern is set to continue each night and into the following mornings over coastal and internal areas until Sunday. Nighttime humidity levels will remain elevated, creating ideal conditions for mist or fog formation on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
Daytime conditions will generally be fair to partly cloudy, but dust will be a persistent factor. Strong winds, predominantly Northeasterly to Northwesterly, will be a feature of the forecast. On Thursday and Friday, these winds will be fresh, particularly westward, stirring up blowing dust with speeds reaching up to 40km/h On Saturday and Sunday, while the winds will generally be light to moderate, they will still freshen at times, continuing to cause dusty conditions, especially over northern and eastern areas on Saturday. These wind patterns will also affect sea travel, making the Arabian Gulf moderate to rough, especially westward, on Friday. The Oman Sea is expected to remain slight throughout the period.
A noticeable, yet slight, shift towards cooler weather is expected over the weekend. Temperatures will see a gradual decrease, particularly over the coastal areas starting Friday. This decline becomes more pronounced on Saturday. While day-time temperatures will remain in a comfortable range (with highs generally around 28°C to 31°C across the UAE), the minimum temperatures are expected to be cooler, potentially dropping to around 16°C to 19°C in internal and mountain regions by Saturday and Sunday, offering a pleasant change in the air.
