Dubai: After light to moderate rain affected parts of Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah yesterday and this morning, temperatures in the UAE fell significantly. In Jebel Jais, temperatures dropped below 5°C, with the lowest recorded temperature in the country at 3.8°C at 12.15 AM today, according to the Met Office.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), it will be cloudy during the day. Low clouds will appear over the East coast with a chance of some rain bearing clouds formation by afternoon especially at the sea, eastwards and northwards, such as in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, the NCM reported.
Most coastal areas of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah experienced low temperatures ranging from 15 to 20°C.
With partly cloudy skies, the weather today is expected to be pleasant in most parts of the country. However, humidity is forecasted to increase overnight, leading to the possibility of fog or mist forming in some internal areas.
Light to moderate winds are expected at times, and the sea will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
