Motorists urged to exercise caution as roads may be slippery due to rainfall

Dubai: Early this morning, light rain showers hit several areas across the UAE, including Ghiyathi, Bu Hasa, Milaysah, Habshan, and Bada Dafa in the Al Dhafra region, with moderate rain recorded over Yaw Al Nadhrah NE.
Abu Dhabi International Airport and areas of Umm Al Quwain, such as Al Rawaidah and Al Raafah, also saw light rainfall. Ras Al Khaimah also experienced light to moderate rain in Shamal, Julfar, Al Hamraniah, and Al Manourah. Ajman saw light rain over Al Rumailah and Sharjah International Airport.
With the ongoing rainfall, motorists are urged to exercise caution as roads may be slippery.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), today’s forecast calls for partly cloudy to cloudy skies, particularly over coastal, northern, and eastern regions. Rain is expected to continue, particularly in the morning hours.
Temperatures will remain mild, with internal regions ranging from 26°C to 32°C, coastal areas and islands seeing highs between 25°C and 29°C, and mountain temperatures ranging from 18°C to 22°C. Expect humidity to rise by night and into Saturday morning, with a chance of fog or mist formation in some coastal and internal areas.
Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to southeast at 10 to 20 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 30 km/h in certain spots. The sea will remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
