Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a dust alert affecting key parts of the UAE, warning of blowing dust and significantly reduced visibility.

According to the NCM, horizontal visibility may drop to less than 2,000 meters over Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai. The alert remains in effect until 5pm today.

In addition, the Arabian Gulf is experiencing fresh easterly winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, causing rough sea conditions. Offshore wave heights may reach up to 6 feet, particularly between 9.30am and 3pm.

Authorities urge motorists and seafarers to exercise caution and follow official guidance during this period of unstable weather.
