US company in talks to make 'Extreme' film about Dubai
The US-based SimEx-Iwerks is in talks with the Dubai Development and Investment Authority and various other government agencies for the development of a 3D 'Extreme' destination film about the expansion of Dubai.
The film will be shot in 3D/4D and viewed in a "never before constructed" 3D/4D scaled theatre developed especially for Dubai, according to a SimEx-Iwerks statement.
SimEx will be responsible for the distribution of the film to potentially 450 "Extreme" theatre venues around the world.
"With a film coalescing the 21st century projects such as Jebel Ali, Palm Island I and II, Burj Al Arab, Burj Dubai, Dubai Financial Centre, Dubai Marina, Dubai airport expansion, Dubai heritage attractions, and so much more, SimEx has the capabilities of transforming sites just under development into actual CGI enhanced events in an Extreme format," said a senior official of the company.
"The visitor will experience the pride that makes Dubai a place never to be forgotten but a requirement to visit."
SimEx-Iwerks, which has a dedicated team on the ground in Dubai, is a simulation ride developer and manufacturer of 2D, 3D and 4D theatres, as well as makers of 'Extreme' destination films.
