UAE traffic alert: RTA announces delays on key Dubai routes due to road works

Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued an advisory for motorists regarding expected delays on two major roads due to maintenance works being carried out by Dubai Municipality.

As per the announcement, traffic is expected to slow down on First Al Khail Road, specifically in the stretch between Umm Suqeim Street and Latifa Bint Hamdan Street, as well as at the intersection of Al Manara Street with First Al Khail Road, heading towards Latifa Bint Hamdan Street.

“RTA informs you of expected delays on First Al Khail Road from Umm Suqeim Street to Latifa Bint Hamdan Street, due to road works carried out by Dubai Municipality,” the authority posted on social media on Tuesday night.

In another related post, RTA said: “RTA informs you of expected delays on the intersection of Al Manara Street with First Al Khail Road towards Latifa Bint Hamdan Street, due to road works carried out by Dubai Municipality.”

The RTA has encouraged motorists to take alternative routes, particularly Al Asayel Street and Sheikh Zayed Road, to avoid congestion.

However, the authority has not mentioned how long the road works will last for, leaving commuters to anticipate disruptions until further notice.
