Abu Dhabi: Pakistani community in the capital will organise ‘UAE-Pakistan Friendship Festival’ at Shaikh Zayed Pakistani Cultural Centre in Abu Dhabi from December 1 to 12, community leaders and the Pakistani Embassy officials said.
A ‘Meena Bazar’ (market) is the major attraction at the festival and its proceeds will go towards the development of three Pakistani schools in Abu Dhabi, they said at a community gathering at the Embassy, late on Sunday.
The programme under the patronage of Red Crescent Society is in line with the UAE National Day Celebrations on December 2. It is after a gap of 13 years that the community is organising such an event at a large scale.
Pakistani textiles, food, traditional items will be the attraction of the ‘bazar’, they said.
