Assistance comes following the Jerusalem Summit in Dhahran
Abu Dhabi: The UAE donated Dh258 million for the welfare of the Palestinian people. The move is in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The two-part aid; the first valued at Dh74 million will be allocated to the Islamic Waqf Support Programme in occupied Jerusalem to preserve the Arab-Islamic identity of the city. The second, valued at Dh184 million will be dedicated to UNRWA to support the educational sector in Gaza. The assistance follows the recently-held Jerusalem Summit in Dhahran, which represented the unified Arab stance in support of the Palestinian people.
