Uber and Careem taxi services have been disrupted in Abu Dhabi due to a system error

Abu Dhabi: Uber and Careem taxi services have been disrupted in Abu Dhabi. 

"I was told that service was stopped because of a system error and it would be fixed soon" an Uber taxi driver said.

Careem's twitter handle @CareemUAE tweeted: " We are doing our best to be back online in Abu Dhabi as soon as possible."

A phone call from Gulf News to an Uber manager went unanswered. TransAD, the taxi regulatory authority in the Emirate, was not immediately available for comments.
