Transport award gets huge response in Dubai

Dubai: There has been a huge response from private sector and semi-governmental companies to the Dubai Sustained Transport Award which will seek the best solutions and practices to develop and expand transport in the emirate, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Saturday.

The award was launched last year.

"The objectives of the award include educating individuals and social bodies to play an effective and constructive role in providing safe and smooth transport for all, said Eisa Abdul Rahman Al Dossary, CEO of RTA's public transport agency and chairman of the award.

"The award is divided into three categories: Managing and Streamlining Mobility Operations, Transport Safety, and Conserving the Environment."
