Dubai: Sharjah Public Transport Corp plans to provide a seamless link with Dubai's public transport system.
The Sharjah Public Transport Corp (SPTC) is planning to introduce public services in the emirate and to provide a link with Dubai's main bus routes, especially in Al Ghusais and Al Nahda, which will also have the Dubai Metro Station.
Sharjah transport is planning to introduce bus services on at least 18 routes within the emirate and will also provide a link to transport services offered by the Roads Transport Authority (RTA).
Its aim is to provide smooth public transport facilities for Sharjah residents and to ease traffic congestion.
Ahmad Mohammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of SPTC said: "Working together with the Dubai RTA on a number of projects will widen opportunities for mass developments in the field of public transport."
Al Shamsi, who visited the RTA office yesterday, met Mattar Al Tayer, Executive Director of the RTA.
