Sharjah: 1.15m bus, taxi passengers during Eid

Sharjah: Sharjah’s Road and Transport Authority revealed that 1.15 million passengers used the authority’s transportation fleets during the Eid Al Adha holiday.

Abdul Aziz Al Jarwan, director of Sharjah’s RTA, said that taxis alone had carried out more than 437,000 trips during the holidays, transporting around 872,000 passengers. He pointed out that the authority had taken the possible increase in passengers during the holidays into consideration, and had added 102 buses to the authority’s fleet to deal with the rise in demand.
