Sharjah: An Emirati man was killed and two Emirati women were injured in a violent crash on Friday night.
The Operations Control Room at Sharjah Police said they were informed about the accident at 9.45pm. The Emirati female driver, identified by police as Aisha S.H., in her mid-20s, was coming from Mubarak Al Nakhi Roundabout near Kuwait Hospital.
A senior official at Sharjah Police said that the woman was speeding and skidded into the road divider. Due to the strong impact, her vehicle then overturned and landed in the other lane towards oncoming traffic.
The official said that her vehicle then crashed into another vehicle, which was driven by Mohammad A.M., a 32-year-old Emirati.
The man was killed on the spot, while the female driver and her female passenger sustained moderate to serious injuries.
An ambulance and Anjad patrol immediately rushed to the scene and transferred the deceased and the injured to Al Qasimi Hospital.
The police had to regulate traffic movement until the damaged vehicles were removed.
Sharjah Police urged the public to respect traffic rules and not to drive at more than 80 kilometres per hour within the city, because the accident was caused by speeding and reckless driving.
Traffic rules should be applicable for all nationalities. Fines should be paid everybody. more care should be taken by them.

It is very sad again hearing bcoz of others fault another person died. I think police must take strict action towards those people who do not respect the speed limit, signal, right/left signal, hazard ligths, distance between vehicals, zig zag drivers etc. Wish authority at least in a year take there driving test while renewing the license. We can not accept bcoz of others we need loose our life or our dear one.
