Dh1 increase in Sharjah bus fare

Sharjah: Bus journeys within Sharjah will be costlier by Dh1 from December 1, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) annouced on Sunday.

Currently, commuters pay a flat fare of Dh6 on all Sharjah bus routes if they are paying by cash, and Dh4.5 if they are using the Sayer card.

The increase in fares will mean commuters paying in cash will have to shell out Dh7 per trip and Sayer card holders will pay Dh5.50 beginning on December 1.
