The Zayed University's College of Arts and Science yesterday held a conference Tesol Arabia which aims to enhance the use of English education among teachers and employess at the Ministry of Education and Youth.

The Zayed University's College of Arts and Science yesterday held a conference Tesol Arabia which aims to enhance the use of English education among teachers and employess at the Ministry of Education and Youth.

The conference is being organised by the university in cooperation with the Dubai Education District.

The conference was attended by about 500 schoolteachers, higher education professors, employees of the Ministry of Education and Youth and other private and government sectors. Also attending the conference was Dr Ayob Al Badri, director of the Dubai Education Board.

Pointing out that such conferences encourage cooperation between the University and the Ministry of Education and Youth, Dr Hanif Hassan, Vice-President of Zayed University, said: "The Tesol Arabia will enhance profesisonal development in students, teachers and employees of various departments."

Dr Kathy Bird, Vice-President of Tesol Arabia and secretary of the conference, said: "The presentation of the Dubai Education District through the participation of supervisors, Farida Al Sharif and ShahlaMattar, has really been very encouraging."
