Support division unveils strategic plan

Western Region: The Supporting Services Sector at the Western Region Municipality announced its strategic plan for 2010-2014 as part of the general policy of the Abu Dhabi government which aspires to become one of the world's five best governments in terms of performance and offering distinguished services.

The announced was made on Tuesday at a workshop organised by the sector, in the presence of Musallam Mohammad Al Ameri, Executive Director of the sector and the directors of the seven departments under its umbrella.

The municipality is one of the government bodies of Abu Dhabi which help effectively provide municipal services to nationals and residents in the region.

"Our government is seeking to become one of the five best governments in the world, which is a challenge that requires us to rise to and shoulder the responsibility and turn the dream into a reality," Al Ameri said. He added that this also requires collaborative efforts and work with a team spirit to implement the strategic plan.

Teamwork

Al Ameri said that to achieve the leadership's vision, collective work, coordination and cooperation is needed between all parties involved in the implementation of the Abu Dhabi government's agenda.

"We seek the supporting service sector to become a leading sector within the framework of the strategy," he said.
