Shurooq redefines the UAE summer experience across Sharjah’s most stunning destinations
Sharjah: As temperatures rise, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) invites residents and tourists alike to experience a reimagined summer, one where relaxation, adventure, and cultural enrichment meet across 18 exceptional destinations throughout the emirate.
From the UAE’s longest beachfronts to secluded mountain stays and immersive cultural venues, Shurooq’s summer campaign offers family-friendly, luxury-infused escapes for every kind of traveller.
Sharjah’s coast shines with two signature beach destinations: Khorfakkan Beach and Al Heera Beach, each stretching over 3.5km.
At Khorfakkan Beach, a dramatic blend of turquoise waters and mountain backdrops welcomes visitors to kayak, jet ski, or enjoy open-air theatre and seaside dining.
Al Heera Beach, Sharjah City’s longest, is a haven for relaxed oceanfront walks, beach cycling, sunset views, and upscale eateries.
Both beaches host the Marine Summer Camp, a collaborative initiative with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, offering youth activities like swimming, kayaking, and beach games through July and August.
For a more cosmopolitan experience, Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Qasba deliver lush parks, canal-side promenades, and culinary options across 44 retail and dining outlets combined. This summer, Masrah Al Qasba stages Pinocchio (Aug. 29—31) in collaboration with H2 Productions, bringing classic theatre to family audiences.
Al Montazah Parks, located opposite Flag Island, hosts over 35 rides in the award-winning Pearl’s Kingdom, Sharjah’s largest water park. The adjacent Island of Legends continues the fun with fairy tale-themed attractions, extended hours until midnight, and women-only days for added convenience.
Shurooq’s Sharjah Collection presents distinctive summer getaways:
Kingfisher Retreat in Kalba offers waterfront tents amid mangroves, accessible only by private boat or buggy.
Al Faya Retreat delivers a desert sanctuary with private saltwater pools and a Himalayan salt spa.
Al Badayer Retreat mimics an authentic desert fort with camel tours, health club, amphitheatre, and stargazing decks.
