Police urges parents to ensure their children are supervised at all times when they are swimming
Sharjah: A four-year-old Emirati boy died Sunday, drowning in a swimming pool at his family villa, police confirmed.
An official at Sharjah Police said the Operation Control Room received a call at 9am notifying them of the incident. Police immediately rushed to the villa in the Mirgab area, but found the boy had already died.
The boy was identified as Mohammad Hassan, who was unsupervised while he was trying to swim.
The police urged parents to ensure their children are supervised at all times when they are swimming at home, summer camps or in hotels and beaches and that a lifeguard is present for the safety of swimmers.
