Seven-run win for NSS College; Leewin's ton goes in vain

NSS College of Engineering, Palaghat defeated Mar Ivanious College, Trivandrum by seven runs in the Akcaf Al Rabwah Gifts And Novelties Trophy Cricket Tournament 2002.

Electing to bat, NSS College had scored 185 runs for six in 20 overs. Then they restricted Mar Ivanious College, Trivandrum to 178 runs for seven. Avanash of NSS College, who scored 53 runs and took one wicket, was declared the man of the match.

S.B College, Changanasserry posted a four-run win over Fatima Mata National College, Kollam.

Electing to bat, S.B College ran up 202 for seven in 20 overs. Fatima Mata, in their chase, could only make 198 for six. A gallant century by Leewin (119) went in vain.
