Abu Dhabi: A total of 90 flights, 45 departures and 45 arrivals, will be delayed or re-scheduled at the Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, to fix a minor problem on the runway, which was found during a routine check.

"Having identified an abrasion in the runway, ADAC has taken the decision that a re-asphalting of a small section of the airport's only airstrip is essential and is to be conducted early next week.

"ADAC has taken all means and measures to limit any inconveniences caused during the maintenance period,'' announced Massimiliano Dosi, Chief Operating Officer, ADAC.
