Road closed after major accident in Dubai

Dubai: Three people were injured in a major road accident involving four vehicles on Shaikh Zayed Road before Yalayis Bridge exit towards Dubai.

Dubai Police official said a helicopter was used to transfer the injured to hospital.

"It is a serious accident between multiple vehicles. One person was seriously injured and was air lifted to hospital. Two others sustained minor and moderate injuries," Major Hani Al Shaibani from Dubai Police told Gulf News.

Police patrols and ambulances rushed to the accident site and the road was closed, causing major traffic delays.

Two motorists with minor injuries were treated at the accident site.
