Red Crescent launches second phase of Tarahamu

Second phase will benefit 16,000 displace Syrian and Palestinian families

Beirut: Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched the second phase of the Tarahamu campaign to aid families affected by the blizzards in Lebanon.

The second phase of the campaign is in accordance with the directives of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and President of ERC. The second phase aims to benefit 16,000 displaced Syrian and Palestinian families in addition to a thousand Iraqi families who fled to Lebanon recently.

An official source at the UAE embassy in Beirut, which will oversee the implementation of the second phase of the campaign, said that aid has been distributed in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and included food as well as other essential commodities along with mattresses, pillows, blankets and winter clothing for people of all ages.
