Ras Al Khaimah: Residents here have complained that agencies are charging exorbitant rates for cooking gas cylinders.

Currently a 22-kilogram gas cylinder is being sold for Dh91, while a 46-kg cylinder is sold for Dh182 and a 11-kg cylinder is sold for Dh43.

Residents and business establishments have complained to the Department of Economic Development and the municipality.

Ahmad Al Shumaili, who heads the Licensing and Commercial Affairs Department at the economic department, said the high prices for the month reflect the high international prices.
