Privateer finished at early in the moring (3:52.42am) yesterday in a total race time of two days, 16 hours, 52 minutes and 42 seconds in the 10th President's Cup Dubai - Muscat Passage Race.

This year's race was especially interesting as a total of 13 yachts have finished within a period of just over seven hours. The record time of two days, three hours, 52 minutes and 31 seconds set last year by Twister still stands.

The race provided an ideal mixture of all weather conditions ranging from dead calm, fog, rain, headwinds and following winds that gusted, at times, up to 30 knots.

The Dubai based yacht Tissaheel was well up with the leaders when she was hit by an extremely heavy squall and was dismasted. She has motored on to the finish, but will take no further part in the Regatta. The Omani based yacht Donegal Breeze has also retired and has motored into Muscat.

Since the two yachts, Nismah and Omani, have not yet finished, these results can only be considered as provisional until they have either finished or signified their intention to retire.

Provisional Results:
