Dubai: Polish extreme cyclist Krystian Herba has set the Guinness World record on Monday by conquering 2040 steps of the world's tallest hotel, Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, in Dubai.

Herba did the climb with his 7kg bike for 1 hour 13 minutes and 41 seconds, beating his estimated time last week at 1 hour and 30 minutes.

A team of eight people, including his brother, went up the stairs with him to keep the time and keep the stairs unobstructed.

This is Herba's seventh bike climb in a skyscraper to date.
