Al Ain: The emirate’s police are increasing the number of patrol cars on the street for Eid Al Fitr, as part of the Salamatak (safety) campaign.

Patrol cars will be deployed in areas where traffic and pedestrian congestion is expected, such as markets, tourism spots and shopping centres to ensure both the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of pedestrians.

Colonel Mohammad Suhail Al Rashidi, Director of the Directorate of Al Ain Police, urged all residents to drive safely. He also encouraged parents to prevent their children letting off fireworks and firecrackers and to keep a close eye on them, especially if they are playing in potentially dangerous areas such as on streets and in swimming pools, during Eid.
