Sharjah: All you need to know about New Year Eve fireworks, celebrations

Sharjah: Prepare to welcome 2025 with an unforgettable celebration as the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has lined up the most dazzling events in the emirate.

Sharjah will host a grand fireworks spectacle across three premier destinations: Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach. Taking place on December 31, 2024, starting from 8pm, this year’s New Year Eve celebration promises to be Sharjah’s most dazzling event, filled with excitement, entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere for all ages.

Fireworks

The highlight of New Year’s Eve will be breathtaking fireworks displays at each destination in Sharjah, lighting up the skies to mark the start of the new year.

Al Majaz Waterfront will feature a captivating five-minute show, while Al Heera Beach and Khorfakkan Beach will each showcase magnificent ten-minute displays. Each location promises a unique blend of entertainment and activities, offering an enchanting experience for audiences of all ages.

Entertainment

At Al Majaz Waterfront, nestled along the picturesque Khalid Lagoon, visitors can enjoy live saxophone and violin performances throughout the evening, all set against the backdrop of Sharjah’s stunning skyline. The area also boasts 20 local and international food and beverage outlets, offering a variety of dining experiences to suit every palate.

Al Heera Beach

The 3.5km stretch of Al Heera Beach will dazzle attendees with synchronised LED, fire, and saxophonist performances, set across its three scenic waterfronts. The beach is also home to 17 local and international F&B outlets, serving a delightful mix of global and regional cuisines in a festive beachfront atmosphere.

Khorfakkan Beach

Meanwhile, Khorfakkan Beach, a key family destination in the eastern region, will feature mesmerising acts, including laser shows, EL wire performances, and roller LED characters. Guests can also explore 21 dining options, offering everything from authentic local dishes to international flavours, ensuring every moment is filled with wonder and joy.

Al Noor Island

Additionally, Al Noor Island will host “A Magical New Year’s Eve by the Bay,” an enchanting celebration under a starlit sky. Guests can enjoy a fine dining experience along the island’s serene shoreline, with exclusive waterfront views of the fireworks at Al Majaz Waterfront. The evening will include a self-guided tour of the island and a sky-watch session (weather permitting) for a truly memorable start to 2025.

Winter land festival

Adding to the seasonal festivities, Al Montazah Parks invites families to explore its enchanting Winter Land Festival, running until January 5, 2025. The park has been transformed into a winter wonderland, featuring photo-worthy settings such as igloos, ice castles, and snow slides. Visitors can enjoy themed parades, a bustling winter market, and exclusive experiences like cable car rides. The festival offers a magical escape for guests of all ages to immerse themselves in the joy of the season.
