One dead, two injured in stone quarry accident

Ras Al Khaimah: One worker was killed and two others suffered injuries when a section of a cliff at a stone quarry collapsed here on Friday, police said.

A senior police officer told Gulf News large rocks had fallen off the top of one of the stone quarries onto a digger, killing him. A lorry driver and another worker sustained severe injuries.

Some digging equipment and trucks at the site were also badly damaged. A rescue team pulled out the injured and the dead body from under the rocks.
